This pilgrimage is open to all women who would like to spend a week in the beautiful
English countryside in the county of Somerset, four days in extraordinary Cornwall and two days in the stunning city of Bath.
The pilgrimage focuses on inner healing, incorporating day visits to ancient sacred sites
in and around Glastonbury, the spiritual heart center of England. Throughout the ages,
spiritual myths and stories have surrounded the town. The world-renowned novel,
The Mists of Avalon, by Marion Zimmer Bradley, recreates the story of Avalon and
its Priestesses. We will stay on the Isle of Avalon (Glastonbury), the land of
the Apples, for a week, and soak in the ancient mysteries indivisible from that beautiful place.
Our accommodation in Glastonbury is a lovely bed and breakfast located a the foot of Glastonbury Tor.
There is easy access to the Tor and a short walk, about 10 minutes, into Glastonbury town, with all its
lovely restaurants, cafes, restaurants, book shops and craft stores. . From our base in Glastonbury we will
visit Stonehenge for a private access visit. Most visitors have to walk around the perimeter of the stones
while we are allowed to stay with the sacred site for an hour. We also have private entrance to Chalice Well
Gardens in Glastonbury.
We will travel outside of Glastonbury to lesser known sites including the small village of Compton Dundon. Today,
this is a quiet area, occasionally disturbed by noisy crows or the odd tractor. Rural Britain has changed little
through the centuries. In fact, the oldest Yew tree in Britain stands majestically in the local churchyard.
In terms of history and beauty, this is one of the richest areas of this ancient country. You will not be disappointed!

The pilgrimage offers plenty of time for participants to explore on their own.
We will also undertake group visits to historic sites such as Glastonbury Tor,
Chalice Well, and Glastonbury Abbey. There will also be an optional day and
evening at the International Goddess Conference in Glastonbury. The conference
was founded several years ago by Kathy Jones and Tina Redpath. It brings together
the international community to enjoy workshops focused on themes inherited from
Goddess spirituality and culture. Also, during each day of our journey together,
we will allocate time to come together in circle to share our thoughts and experiences.
After seven days in Glastonbury we will travel to the beautiful Cornish countryside
of southern Cornwall known as the south of France for England with its mild climate and palm trees. We stay at a lovely Bed and
Breakfast owned and operated by two german women who have made Cornwall their home. The accommodations are comfortable and intimate.
We shall eat most of our evening meals at the local pub. We are surrounded by sacred sites and spend much of our time visiting ancient
wells and stone circles. There will be time for ³downtime² and rest and relaxing evenings.
This journey is open to all women interested in the myths and legends of ancient Britain,
